Charity Overview
Vision and mission
We aim to sterilise the whole of Bloekombos and Scottsville in the next 5 years. There are no "brick and mortar" welfares offering medical assistance close to these areas and so the people rely on our mass sterilisation campaigns and weekly trips to Animal Welfare Society Stellenbosch, to provide for sterilisation and medical treatment of the animals. We and African Tails fundraise to make these weekly sterilisations and medical treatments possible.
Achievements
We have sterilised hundreds of animals from impoverished areas of Cape Town and continue to do so even with limited funds. Have also rehomed just under 200 cats and dogs.
Programmes
We organise and fundraise to provide for sterilisation programmes in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town including Bloekombos, Scottsville, Goliath Estate, Kraaifontein Main, Parow and Belhar. Have also sterilised various feral cat colonies in the Northern Suburbs. There are far too many animals per household in areas like Bloekombos and this results in many stray and abused animals. Every last cent we get we spend on sterilsation as we know it's the only way to prevent abuse of companion animals in these areas.
